Awards Rules and Guidelines

The AI Creator Awards honor remarkable accomplishments in generative artificial intelligence, emphasizing creativity, innovation, and excellence in AI-generated imagery. These awards recognize exceptional contributions that expand the horizons of AI art and design, cultivate a community of practitioners, and ignite inspiration for future creators.

The ensuing rules and guidelines are instituted to maintain fairness, transparency, and integrity across the awards process.

Eligibility

The awards welcome artists, designers, and enthusiasts worldwide, irrespective of their professional background or experience level.
All Entries must consist of original creations produced with AI tools like Midjourney, Leonardo AI, Dall-E, Stable Diffusion, Runway, Starry Ai, Stability AI, Wombo, Craiyon, Night Cafe, Adobe Firefly, DreamStudio, among others.
Entrants must possess all necessary rights to their submitted pieces.
Entries must adhere to all relevant laws and regulations and must not infringe upon any third-party rights.
AI Creator Awards staff and jurors are ineligible to participate.
All themes and subjects are acceptable, excluding content that is offensive, discriminatory, or violates copyright laws.
Entrants must be at least 18 years old. Both individual participants and teams are eligible to enter.

Categories

The current Generative AI Art Categories include: Photorealism, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Anime & Comics, Architecture, Visual Arts, and Fashion.
Additional categories may be added based on demand and interest in the future.

Photorealism

The Photorealism category, celebrates images that attain lifelike realism, faithfully capturing the texture, lighting, and intricacies of the real world. These AI-generated visuals mimic photographs, portraying landscapes, portraits, and objects with stunning accuracy. Key factors include precise color rendition, lifelike lighting effects, and meticulous attention to detail, effectively conveying the essence and materiality of depicted subjects.

Sci-Fi & Fantasy

The Sci-Fi & Fantasy category, takes viewers on a journey through mesmerizing realms, from dystopian landscapes to sprawling space operas. Explore fantastical worlds filled with mythical creatures and epic battles, delving into cyberpunk and steampunk aesthetics. Entries captivate with inventive storytelling, pushing creative boundaries across various genres. This category celebrates AI’s capacity to bring dreams to life, inspiring awe and wonder in viewers.

Anime & Comics

The Anime & Comics category, delve into a diverse array of genres, from humorous caricatures to spine-tingling horror and action-packed superhero adventures. Explore the rich storytelling of manga and the everyday charm of slice-of-life narratives. Entries captivate with vibrant visuals and compelling narratives, showcasing AI’s ability to bring beloved characters and worlds to life with creativity and authenticity.

Architecture

The Architecture category, highlights exceptional imagery showcasing innovative architectural, urban planning, and interior design. Entries exemplify creativity, functionality, and aesthetic appeal, spanning futuristic cityscapes, inventive structures, and refined interiors. Evaluation criteria encompass spatial ingenuity, environmental integration, sustainability, and emotional resonance. Celebrating the role of AI in envisioning the future built environment, this category presents visionary concepts shaping architectural evolution.

Visual Arts

The Visual Arts category, honors images distinguished by their artistic brilliance, originality, and innovation. It embraces diverse styles, from traditional painting and sculpture to contemporary digital creations. Entries may derive from historical movements or forge new visual languages, delving into abstract themes, emotions, and storytelling. Recognizing AI’s transformative impact, this category invites entries that push artistic boundaries and unveil distinctive visions.

Fashion

In the Fashion category, attention is on images that redefine fashion design, showcasing inventive concepts, trends, and styling. This encompasses avant-garde, futuristic, and modern reinterpretations of classic styles. Entries should emphasize creativity in garment design, accessories, and styling, illustrating AI’s role in fashion evolution. This category aims to demonstrate AI’s influence on fashion’s future, from conceptual sketches to trend-setting designs.

Deadlines

October 31, 2024 – CALL FOR ENTRIES

The call for entries will officially open. Participants are invited to submit their works, with a daily limit of 3 submissions per participant. Each submission must fall into a specific category and be accompanied by a brief explanation of the artwork.

January 31, 2025 – SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Mark your calendars, as this is the final day to submit your entries. Submissions received after this deadline will regretfully not be accepted. Following the close of submissions, the evaluation process will begin promptly.

February 28, 2025 – WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT

The most anticipated moment of the awards. Winners will be announced on social media, this website, and possibly at a live event. All participants will be notified of the competition results via email.

Submission Guidelines

Each submission must be entered into one of the predefined categories. Please review category descriptions above to choose the most appropriate for your work.
Each participant may submit up to 3 works per day throughout the call for entries period.
Submissions should be in JPG, PNG, WebP format, with a maximum file size of 10MB. Images will be accepted in (3) three optional formats:
– Square (1:1 aspect ratio): 1024 pixels width by 1024 pixels height (minimum size)
– Landscape (16:9 aspect ratio): 1024 pixels width by 576 pixels height (minimum size)
– Portrait (4:5 aspect ratio): 1080 pixels width by 1280 pixels height (minimum size)
All Image submissions must be at least 1024×1024 pixels in resolution to ensure quality presentation.
Participants must provide a brief description of the work, including the concept, and any relevant artistic or technical insights.
All submissions must be received by the designated deadline. Late entries will not be considered.
There are no entry fees required for submissions, ensuring open participation for all. Our aim is to encourage creativity and innovation without financial barriers.
We do not accept watermarked images.

Judging Criteria

Originality and Creativity

This assesses the artwork’s uniqueness and innovation. Judges seek pieces offering fresh perspectives, challenging traditional forms, or employing AI in unconventional ways
to yield surprising outcomes.

Technical Proficiency

Evaluation of the artist’s adeptness in using generative AI tools. This encompasses the intricacy of prompts/tools, integration of AI models, and technical execution.

Aesthetic Appeal

Focuses on the visual impact, including composition, color, texture, and overall harmony. Judges consider how elements coalesce to form a visually pleasing image.

Conceptual Depth

Assesses the depth of ideas, themes, or narratives. It gauges how effectively the artwork conveys its intended message or emotion and the significance of its conceptual framework.

Innovation in AI

Utilization Evaluates the artwork’s advancements in generative AI. This includes novel AI applications, experimentation with new models/techniques, and contributions to AI’s evolution in art.

Judging Process

The AI Creator Awards uphold a transparent and equitable judging process. Here’s an outline of the steps and criteria guiding our evaluation:

Selection of Judges

Our jury comprises accomplished professionals across various fields, ensuring diverse expertise and perspectives. Judges are chosen for their exceptional contributions and exploration of AI in their respective domains, reflecting a broad range of backgrounds and viewpoints.

Initial Screening

Entries undergo an initial review to ensure adherence to submission guidelines. If needed, a pre-selection phase may occur to manage the volume of submissions, conducted by a committee or filtering software.

Detailed Evaluation

Qualified submissions are meticulously assessed by category-specific jury members. Evaluation criteria include storytelling, emotional impact, composition, innovation, and alignment with category themes.

Final Deliberations

The judging panel convenes to discuss finalists and make award decisions. Discussions emphasize artwork merits, encompassing diverse styles and interpretations. In cases of ties or disagreements, the panel chairperson may cast a decisive vote to ensure fair outcomes.

Announcement of Winners

Winners are revealed on our website and through media partners, with participants notified via email of the competition results. The judging panel’s decisions are conclusive and binding.

Awards and Recognition

Winners

Each winner, one per category, will be awarded an exceptional package that includes:

$1,000 to support and encourage their future creative endeavors.
Winners will have the unique chance to showcase their work in an Art Gallery located in Philadelphia. This (TBD) exhibition will offer significant exposure to influential figures in the art and technology sectors.
A complimentary 1-year subscription to a To-Be-Confirmed (TBC) AI tool, providing winners with access to cutting-edge technology to further their artistic practice.
An exclusive collection of merchandise celebrating generative AI art and the creativity of our participants.

Honorable Mentions

Artists receiving Honorable Mentions will also be recognized with:

Like the winners, Honorable Mentions will have their works exhibited in an AI Gallery in Philadelphia, providing a platform to showcase their talents to a broad audience.
A 6 month subscription to a (TBC) AI tool, offering valuable resources to explore new creative possibilities.
A selection of specially designed merchandise to celebrate their achievement in generative AI art.

Intellectual Property

By submitting the images, the sender asserts authorship and verifies that the images are devoid of third-party rights. Participants maintain copyright to their submissions while granting AI Creator Awards a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to utilize, display, publish, and reproduce the images for competition purposes. This encompasses showcasing images in exhibitions, printed materials, online platforms, and promotional materials associated with AI Creator Awards.

Data Collection & Privacy Policy

Information provided in the entry form is governed by the AI Creator Awards Privacy Policy, ensuring protection and confidentiality. Email addresses provided will be used by AI Creator Awards to send updates on submissions, winners, and program developments, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to Rules and Guidelines

AI Creator Awards reserves the right to amend or adjust these rules and guidelines as needed to uphold fairness, address unforeseen circumstances, or adhere to legal and ethical standards. Participants will be informed of any substantial modifications.
